Your first visit, start to finish

What to bring, what happens in the chair, and what it costs — written down before you arrive, so there are no surprises.

New patients

$99 for your exam, X-rays and cleaning

New patient visits are $99 and include a full examination, the X-rays we need to see what is happening below the surface, and a cleaning. That is the whole price for a healthy mouth — not a teaser that turns into a quote.

If the examination finds something that needs treatment, you get a written plan with costs and your insurance estimate before anything is booked. Nothing gets done at the first visit that you have not agreed to.

Free limited exams and X-rays are available if you have one specific problem you want looked at, and emergency exams are $29*.

Step by step

What happens at your first appointment

Allow about an hour for a new patient visit.

01

Paperwork, done quickly

Medical history, medications and insurance details. Arrive five minutes early and this is the only part that feels like admin.

02

Photos, X-rays and a 3D scan

Digital X-rays and intraoral photos, so the examination is based on what is actually there rather than a guess.

03

A proper examination

Teeth, gums, bite, jaw joints, and an oral cancer screening. Dr. Le walks you through the images on the screen.

04

Your cleaning

A hygiene visit with one of our hygienists. If your gums need more than a standard cleaning, we will explain why before proceeding.

05

The plan and the number

Anything that needs doing, in priority order, with costs and your estimated insurance benefit in writing.

06

Book, or go and think

There is no pressure to schedule on the day. Take the plan home. Emergencies are the only thing we push to treat quickly.

Come prepared

What to bring

  • Photo ID and your insurance card, if you have one.
  • A list of medications you take, including supplements — several affect dental treatment and healing.
  • Your medical history, particularly heart conditions, diabetes, joint replacements, or blood thinners.
  • Any dental appliance you currently wear — night guard, retainer, partial denture.
  • Your previous dentist’s name. We will request your records for you; you do not need to chase them.
  • Your questions. Write them down beforehand — it is easy to forget them once you are in the chair.
Paying for it

Insurance, membership and monthly payments

We accept most major PPO plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Humana and Guardian. We file the claim for you and tell you your estimated share before treatment.

No insurance? Our in-house membership plan gives 15% off treatment and covers your preventive visits, with no deductibles, no annual maximum and no claim forms. For larger treatment, Cherry and CareCredit split the cost into monthly payments, with approval decisions in minutes.

Use your insurance

Questions

New patient questions

How early should I arrive?

Five to ten minutes before your appointment is plenty. If you would rather do the paperwork at home, call ahead and we will email the forms.

How long does the first visit take?

About an hour for an examination and cleaning together. A limited exam for one specific problem is considerably quicker.

Which office should I book?

Whichever is closer. Fort Worth is on the North Freeway; Haltom City is on NE Loop 820A. Both share the same team and the same records, so you can switch between them freely.

I am nervous about the dentist. What can you do?

Tell us when you book, and again when you sit down. We work slowly, explain before we do anything, use topical anaesthetic before injections, and stop the moment you raise a hand. Nothing gets treated at a first visit unless it is an emergency.

Do you see children?

Yes, patients of all ages. Booking family appointments back to back usually means one trip instead of three.

What if I need treatment I cannot afford right now?

You get the plan in priority order, so you can see what is urgent and what can reasonably wait. Between the membership plan and monthly financing, most treatment can be phased.
